DOPE LOUNGE: Hip Hop originated out of a suppressed need to be expressive, no matter the depth of that expression. The sub culture was intended to make you dance, make you laugh, bring you pain, and make you mad. No matter the wave of that emotion, you felt it. That very feeling and ability to relate, is what Dope Lounge embodies. Originally, four brothers with the common goal to not only make music but to also make history, began a journey that has thus far been unseen. Today there are three prolific MC’s that encompass Dope Lounge. Wordsmith: The Dichotomy, Jordan Frescher: Mr. Christian Dior, and X1: The Monster.  These entities separate are far exceeding the benchmark and/or industry standard regarding Hip-Hop. However, these entities combined completely rewrite the protocol to exist in Hip-Hop. There debut album “The Moon is a Balloon” gave them a since of who they wanted to be. There forthcoming album “Due Drugs” will be the completion of that identity. Residing in Dallas, Texas, Dope Lounge intends to show the difference between them and anything prior, through passionate lyricism, unmatched conviction, and unwavering knowledge of self. Dope Lounge has yet to see what is to come. However, they guarantee that no matter the path that they are on; the trek will be made with the minimum expectation of excellence. There is a distinct difference between what something is and what something does. Dope Lounge does not do hip-hop, Dope Lounge is Hip-Hop. Grab a glass and enjoy the show baby, let it take your soul.

JORDAN “FRESCH” FRESCHER

Emerging from the Dirty South, Jordan “Fresch” Frescher (Web site) brings a much-needed breath of “Fresch” air to the rap and hip-hop scene.  A belief in delivering a southern feel with a message so there’s no excuse not to listen, stems from his childhood upbringing in Arlington, Texas, where his ears were first banned from experiencing the beats and lyrics of the rap and hip-hop world.

All that changed in Jordan’s early teenage years, when a cousin from upstate New York came to live with him and his family, introducing the once deprived, young ears to the influence of rap and hip-hop legends such as Biggie and Tupac. Jordan continued to pop rap cassette tape after cassette tape in his boom box, eventually converting his mother to a Hip hop fan, too.

Fresch has been compared to The Game and Young Jeezy, having a similar pain in his voice, delivered in an incredible way forcing fans to crank up the volume. Listeners have compared the newcomer to artists such as Lupe Fiasco and Common for his unique lyrical style.

Although the young artist is not a minister, as he will quickly tell you, he is making it his duty to use his raw, emotional power to attack stigmas associated with rap and hip-hop. Jordan “Fresch” Frescher raps in greater depth and brings a new dimension to the fusion of rap and hip-hop music by tying in spirituality, community, culture, and instilling black leadership.

With a different kind of swagger, Fresch continues to develop his talent, collaborating with local artists at many local clubs, while performing at various DFW venues.

Fresch…. A musical talent with an uncompromising sound.
